Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! New term for me, for sure. I’m definitely not following the trendy lines of the youth, but I think this time this thing called Locking In and Locked In concept suits best for about what I’m about to cover in this week's newsletter. Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! I was watching an interesting video about life’s meaning and purpose, and in that video came an example of Pascal’s Pensées. A famous discussion about boredom, essentially, and it sparked an interesting view of art Pascal’s Pensées Pascal’s famous discussion is in Pensées, where he argues that humans struggle to...

Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! For the past week or so, I’ve been having mixed feelings about whether to rely on references and how much. And if I don’t use references, then how deep do I go into studying anatomy (for example). I’ve been reading news about AI and where it is advancing and the pace it is advancing on. It’s quite something. The news is, let’s say…can induce worry for the ones that tend to worry. I stay away from that stuff as much as I can. AI Ok. So you have probably heard of all the things AI can do, and I’m not talking...

Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! As “somewhat” promised, I wanted to talk more about that new drawing technique I “invented” for myself. The reason I want to discuss that is that it is too good not to share it with you. Blueprint Ok, so whenever I start a new drawing, I always do a blueprint of what my mind has in it. You know, laying out the...

Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! This one will be all about the new Wacom MovinkPad 14 Pro that I got for myself. I wanted to write a brief review of the tablet as it has been an extremely good option for me so far. And I want to write about this now as I’ve now been using it for a few weeks already and have seen it to be what I wanted it to be....

Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! This time it’s about the internal struggles- that internal voice that is quietly (yet loudly) saying different things that are unhealthy. Pressure to excel and be something more I was having nostalgic thoughts and memories from years back when I was drawing pretty freely. I was just drawing for myself basically....

Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! First of all, sorry for the slight delay in this newsletter. I think I missed a few hours from my usual schedule. Now, hope you don’t mind that. But let’s go through the very latest developments in art, mind, views, and visions. Just today Just this morning, like a few minutes ago or so, I purchased Jujutsu Kaisen...

Newsletter Konnichiwa, Welcome to my (Okuha) newsletter! The newsletter is always more or less about anime and manga art, artist life, and anime, of course. I hope you stick around! So with the artistic voice idea, another idea came to my mind recently…what if, and like honestly what if I sold my artwork? Route of Prints In past years, when I was developing my art business in multiple directions, I stumbled upon POD (print-on-demand) and discovered that customers could buy my art prints from,...
